An unfortunate truth became apparent to me when I entered the real estate industry five years ago: Realtors are not typically trusted by most people. In fact, their reputation often ranks alongside that of lawyers.
This was a significant challenge for me, but I knew I had to ask myself some important questions.
Firstly, after completing the expensive process to become an agent, I wondered: Would all my hours of studying, testing, and qualifying for this career be in vain? Was I truly ready to give up just because my profession was viewed with disdain?
More importantly, why were Realtors regarded with such distrust? Why did so many people feel they couldn’t trust real estate agents? Had unscrupulous agents really taken advantage of people during their most vulnerable moments and with their largest investments? Unfortunately, the answer seemed to be yes.
Determined to be proud of my work, I knew I needed to transform the perception of a “Realtor” from a self-serving role to one that mindfully serves clients while earning a living for my family.
This commitment was solidified when I helped my first clients sell their home and buy a new one. They placed their lives and future in my hands, trusting me to treat them like family.
Helping people during moments of uncertainty and vulnerability has given me a deep sense of purpose. From that day forward, I understood that this job is about far more than money; it must be approached with reverence. Assisting people with their real estate needs requires intellectual honesty and character, as each housing transaction affects many lives.
Every buyer or seller is directly impacted by the financial outcome of a transaction, so it is vital to have an experienced agent working with integrity to achieve your real estate goals.
I am aware of the challenge of changing societal perceptions, but I am confident in who I am, why I entered this industry, and why it is worth it. My passion is to help people and families, one home and one sale at a time. For anyone who trusts me to find their dream home, move on from their current house, or simply make the process easier and less stressful, I am here for you.
